Propeller

| Q1ĄGWhere
can I buy a solas propeller for my boat? |
| A1
:You can check our web
page of "Solas Propellers
Distributors",or web
page of "Dealers".If
you still can't find out,please e-mail to us. |
| Q2ĄGHow
can my boat get into plane faster? |
| A2
:There are many factors that can cause a boat
to have difficulty coming to plane. For example, the hull
shape, the total boat weight (with fuel and gear you may
have), weight distribution, engine mounting position,
trim tabs, and the propeller used will all affect the
planing capability of your boat. However, a large area
propeller or a four blade propeller may help improving
the planing performance of your boat.

| Q3ĄG
What propeller should I use to improve hole shot and top
speed? |
| A3
:Finding a propeller
to improve your hole shot and top speed will be difficult.
These are two separate characteristics that may take different
propellers to achieve the goals. Generally speaking, a
smaller blade high pitch propeller may have good top end
performance, whereas a large blade low pitch propeller
may have a good bottom end. For a light boat with plenty
of power, a high pitch propeller with cavitation holes
may work very well. However, a four stroke motor may not
need a propeller with cavitation holes to achieve good
acceleration and top end performance. |
| Q4ĄGHow
much should I spend on the propeller for my boat? |
| A4
:It will always be a
balance between performance and cost. The S/S propeller
may have better performance, much more durable, and better
corrosion resistance capability. However, you may have
to pay three times of money on a S/S propeller. Understanding
the way the boat operated and where the boat used may
help you making a decision. |
| Q5ĄG
Should I go from a three blade to a four blade propeller? |
| A5
:A four blade propeller
has a better cruising performance. It can be handled easier
in rough water. Hence, the four blade propeller will be
a better choice for a offshore boat user. It will offer
you a easier cruising experience. However, if you are
looking for a high speed propeller, three blade may be
a better choice. |
Impeller
|
| Q1ĄGWhich
Solas impeller should I use? |
| A1
:The first thing you
have to know is the model and year of your personal watercraft.
On the selection of a right impeller for your boat you
may check the IMPELLER
SELECTION GUIDE and the Solas impeller
recommendation charts. You may find the recommendation
charts under different PWC brand name in the PWC PARTS
section. The "*" in the recommendation charts
marked the replacement parts for the stock pump. |
| Q2ĄG
Will a high pitch impeller goes faster than a lower pitch
one? |
| A2
:If your watercraft does not have adequate
power, you will experience slower acceleration, lower
top end rpm, and probably slower top speed. |
| Q3ĄG
Where can I buy a solas impeller for my watercraft? |
| A3
:You may check with your
local dealer or specialty shop for Solas products or send
us an e-mail for dealer information. You
